Coral Sunrise handbags, handmade in Bali and Java, Indonesia, are made from natural fibers and materials such as pandan leaf, rattan, agel, bamboo, jute, sea grass, water hyacinth, tree bark, dried & woven roots, coconut wood and native hardwoods. Some are decorated with mother of pearl, sea shells and beads. Many have leather handles. In Bali and all of Indonesia, artistic use of natural materials is a way of life, and the process of drying, dyeing and weaving is an art handed down for centuries, generation to generation. BAG178 which we call Very Cool Shoulder Bag, is handmade of woven banana tree skin. BAG179 is woven of Agel which is a very fine, strong fiber from the leaf stalks of the gebang palm tree and is used for making sail cloth, ropes and fish nets.
